We spent the day walking around the Jungceylon mall, for my mum this was the the last run-up with shopping, and spa.
And I found out that Jungceylon was once the name given to Phuket back in the 16th Century, when it was one of the major trading locations in the region where everything from foodstuffs to clothing could be found and businesses traded all around the world. Probably why they have a 20m Chinese Junk Boat as their logo.
They have really provided a suitable name for the largest and most diverse shopping mall/area. With over 350 different shops that's spread over 4 zones:
- Silang Boulevard - The ultimate in Fashion & Lifestyle
- Sino Phuket - World class dinning experience
- Phuket Square - An irresistible entertainment experience and
- The Port - Amazing Jungceylon water fountain show.
The Port - The Chinese Junk Boat |
The Chinese Junk Boat is an outdoor section, and is the main focal point for tourists. The ship is equipped with a hydraulic catwalk for all sorts of events and shows, such as:
- Dancing Water Fountain Show, which is free for daily watch at 13.00, 15.00, 19.00 and 21.00.
- The Amazing Jungceylon Water Screen Show, also is free for daily watch at 19.00 and 21.00.
Phuket Square - The Arcade Zone |
The Phuket Square offers entertainments such as cinema, SF Strike Bowl, tune karaoke, arcade and spas.
